The "Buffalo Wing It!"
collection of merchandise was created in Fall 1983 in anticipation
of the 20th Anniversary of the Buffalo Chicken Wing.
On May 25, 1984, Buffalo
Mayor, James Griffin, issued a proclamation declaring June 25th as
"Buffalo Chicken Wing Festival Week" commemorating the birth of the
chicken wing at the Anchor Bar in 1964.

It!" collection of merchandise was very much a part of the celebration.
It was featured at better department stores and gift shops as well as
Fantasy Island amusement park where most of the festivities were held.
Buffalo Wing It! Merchandise
also made an appearance at the House of Representatives commemorative
party held on June 29, 1984 at the Capitol, in Washington, DC.
